Brent had his first temple trip yesterday. I was talking to him about it when he realized I was going. He asked Why? I told him I wanted to be there so his response to me was -
"Why do you always have to go to my first everything!"
Though I was a little hurt I realized I might be a little over protective. Though he doesn't always mind. After finding out that I am not even on the same side of the baptismal font he didn't care if I joined him. until he found out that I wanted a picture of him. Which I had to threated him to get! Why is it that as they get older the more un cool us parents are! He dosen't like me dancing in the car anymore, kissing in public is out of the question, Playing games like go fish is a punishment and heaven forbid I try to play rock band with him and his friends.
During quiet times though he will snuggle up and talk to me! Tell me all about his day. Eat a bowl of ice cream with me. Laugh at my jokes. Let me know that he still loves me.
Kara - you need to come back. Blake and I were so craving a game of settlers today, Paisley keeps asking for "Ka-Ka Moon" and Cosette needs someone else who wants to hold her. She has just gotten grumpy since you left so you must have the magic trick! I am so happy you have a blog now and that you update it! I love you and miss you!
